Background
Lincolnshire House Association is a registered charity based in Scunthorpe, providing residential, day and respite care for adults with cerebral palsy and similar disabilities. Its team relies on dependable technology every day to communicate, collaborate and deliver high-quality care.

Challenge
LHA’s technology environment had developed over time, leaving the organisation reliant on ageing systems that needed to be modernised, secured and brought together under a clear technology strategy. Key challenges included:
Ageing infrastructure
Systems that limited reliability, performance and future development.
Microsoft 365 security
Security controls that required significant strengthening and standardisation.
Legacy telephony
An analogue telephone system that needed replacing with a modern, flexible alternative.
Cyber Essentials
Meeting the scheme’s technical requirements while minimising disruption to essential care services.

Solution

Building Strong Foundations
A full review of LHA’s environment shaped the plan. Ageing infrastructure was replaced with a resilient, scalable platform on Grid Connectivity, kept reliable by ongoing Tech Team monitoring.

Modernising Communications
The legacy analogue phone system gave way to Clear Skies VoIP - cloud-based, flexible, simpler to manage. Planned from installation through to staff adoption, with minimal disruption.

Strengthening Security
Through Addooco Works, Microsoft 365 was hardened to modern best practice. Stronger identity, access and account protection, without making it harder for staff to work.

Cyber Essentials
Assessed against the scheme’s technical controls, gaps closed and evidence gathered. LHA achieved certification inside the 30-day onboarding window.

Client Testimonial
In 30 days, Lincolnshire House Association went from onboarding to Cyber Essentials certified — with modernised infrastructure, cloud telephony and a hardened Microsoft 365 environment.
“Addooco took the time to understand our organisation and guided us through every stage of the transition.
